Welcome to The Current, the pulse of our journey here at Flying Upstream.

Hi Reader,

🌊The Upstream Current

Welcome to The Current, the pulse of our journey here at Flying Upstream. Each month, we explore a central theme that speaks to the soul of transformation—whether it’s courage, self-trust, reinvention, or navigating the unknown in your career or daily life.
This is your space to pause, realign, and reconnect with yourself, your truth, and the undercurrent of something deeper that’s always been calling you forward.
This month, we’re exploring how energy healing can be a compass, not just for wellness, but for choosing a career path that feels like you. We believe true alignment starts within. Whether you're navigating a pivot, awakening to new callings, or unraveling old conditioning, energy healing offers a way to clear the noise and attune to your truth.
Because sometimes, flying upstream means coming back to your frequency.
One beautiful companion to this month’s theme is “The Energy Codes” by Dr. Sue Morter. Blending bioenergetics, spiritual practice, and neuroscience, this book guides you through using your body's subtle energy to create tangible change in how you live, work, and lead. It’s a powerful resource for those sensing that the next step in their journey starts with reconnecting to their energy.

Insights from the Source

In every season of change, there are guides — voices, tools, and truths that help light the way.

Jason Tuttle’s journey through grief isn’t about finding closure — it’s about staying open.
Open to feeling, connecting, and showing up — even when everything hurts.
Through his raw reflections, one truth becomes clear: grief isn’t something to fix — it’s something to witness.
Here are some of the insights we’re still sitting with:
🔹 Grief doesn’t need a timeline. It pulses with memory, love, and loss — often at the same time.
🔹 Writing can be sacred. Jason began journaling as a way to stay connected to his son, and found healing in the ritual.
🔹 Men need safe spaces, too. His platform, Letters to Zachary invites men to process without shame or performance.
🔹 The “right” words don’t matter — your presence does. Silence, presence, and honesty often say more than advice ever could.
“The words that helped me most were: I’m here. I don’t know what to say, but I’m here.” — Jason Tuttle
Jason reminds us that healing isn’t about being strong all the time. It’s about being real with ourselves and each other.

Guest Who:

Meet Jason, creator of Letters to Zachary — a website, Facebook blog, and online community built after the sudden loss of his son.

For 12 years, Jason was a full-time stay-at-home dad to two children with rare and complex disabilities. After his son's passing in 2022, he turned to writing as a lifeline — one that has since become a space of connection, compassion, and vulnerability for other grieving parents (especially men).
